Jesus Calling Sept 30th

God is always with you, holding you, loving you, caring for you. He has no limits because He created everything. He promises that He is with you forever. Do not be afraid of what is to come, He knows therefore it will be alright. He is waiting for us in heaven, he holds our future and gives it to us one little bit at the time. So no need to worry. He wants you to live every day to its fullest, taking the time to see everything around you. Don't get sidetracked by thinking about or worrying about tomorrow. Every day that He gives you is a gift, a blessing, and we need to learn how to live in today, not tomorrow. Use today's energy for today, He will renew your energy for tomorrow. He is trying to teach you to focus on Him in the moment so you can receive even more of His blessings!

Matthew 6:34 (MSG)
Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.

James 4:13-15 (MSG)
And now I have a word for you who brashly announce, “Today—at the latest, tomorrow—we’re off to such and such a city for the year. We’re going to start a business and make a lot of money.” You don’t know the first thing about tomorrow. You’re nothing but a wisp of fog, catching a brief bit of sun before disappearing. Instead, make it a habit to say, “If the Master wills it and we’re still alive, we’ll do this or that.”

Jesus Calling Sept 29th

Always - Kristian Stanfill

God is always with you. Shining His glorious light upon you. He knows all of your thoughts, every last one of them. He loves you more than you can imagine. He knows when you are in need. Just walk with him, He will hold you tight. Do not let Him out of your sight. He is your best friend, don't let go of Him, He won't let go of you. Many people don't realize and use their brain for the purpose God created it for, to know Him. He is always trying to communicate, a lot of people just don't listen.

Psalm 34:4-7 (MSG)
God met me more than halfway, he freed me from my anxious fears.Look at him; give him your warmest smile. Never hide your feelings from him.When I was desperate, I called out, and God got me out of a tight spot.God’s angel sets up a circle of protection around us while we pray.

Psalm 139:1-6 (MSG)
God, investigate my life;
    get all the facts firsthand.
I’m an open book to you;
    even from a distance, you know what I’m thinking.
You know when I leave and when I get back;
    I’m never out of your sight.
You know everything I’m going to say
    before I start the first sentence.
I look behind me and you’re there,
    then up ahead and you’re there, too—
    your reassuring presence, coming and going.
This is too much, too wonderful—
    I can’t take it all in!

Jesus Calling Sept 28th

Your Great Name - Natalie Grant

Sit still, somewhere quiet. Place your hands, palm up on your knees or just hold them out away from your body with your arms open. Take in a deep breath. Let it out. Take in another. Do you feel God's Mighty Presence surrounding you?
Open your self up like that and let Him in. Let Him fill you up with His great Love. Some people feel like they aren't loved enough and they go through life feeling that way, because they haven't learned that God loves them so much and how to receive that Love fully. You just have to believe. And know that He loves you unconditionally and that His love has no end. You have to get in the habit of really trusting Him all the time through everything you do, not just when you need help.
The devil is at stake. Beware of his traps. The evil one is the barer of lies. Learn to differentiate between lies and the truth. Do not ever doubt the love God has for you. You fight back with all you've got, the temptations and traps that he sets in your way. God will protect you from him if you just trust. He will wrap you in His glorious love and Presence.

Ephesians 3:14-19 (MSG)
My response is to get down on my knees before the Father, this magnificent Father who parcels out all heaven and earth. I ask him to strengthen you by his Spirit—not a brute strength but a glorious inner strength—that Christ will live in you as you open the door and invite him in. And I ask him that with both feet planted firmly on love, you’ll be able to take in with all followers of Jesus the extravagant dimensions of Christ’s love. Reach out and experience the breadth! Test its length! Plumb the depths! Rise to the heights! Live full lives, full in the fullness of God.

James 4:7-10 (MSG)
 So let God work his will in you. Yell a loud no to the Devil and watch him scamper. Say a quiet yes to God and he’ll be there in no time. Quit dabbling in sin. Purify your inner life. Quit playing the field. Hit bottom, and cry your eyes out. The fun and games are over. Get serious, really serious. Get down on your knees before the Master; it’s the only way you’ll get on your feet.

Mountain of God - Third Day
Signature of Divine - NeedtoBreathe

Jesus Calling Sept 27th

You Are More - Tenth Avenue North

God will hold you while you relax. It is alright. He knows you are tired and weak. When you are weak that is the best time to become strong through His Great Presence. When you are out of energy do not look to yourself for more, look to God. He has everything you need. Praise Him for He is rich in blessings and full of divine glory and help for you. Do not move to quickly through your day, just hold on to Him to make it through. Your needs are something to be thankful for because they require you to lean on Him for help to get through. It strengthens your trust in Him. Look how far you have come. Look at the times in the past when you were weak, that is when you grew the most. Those past things are part of you and who you are becoming. You are becoming more and more like Christ the more you trust and follow Him.

Psalm 27:13-14 (MSG)
I’m sure now I’ll see God’s goodness
    in the exuberant earth.
Stay with God!
    Take heart. Don’t quit.
I’ll say it again:
    Stay with God.

Jesus Calling Sept 26th

God is the King of Kings! King of the universe! He created it! Listen to Him! Be His servant! You will receive His blessings! Be thankful that you can communicate with Him from your house. Earthly Kings are not like that, they are not accessible to normal people. God is the King of everything! And anyone can reach Him from anywhere! He is always right by your side. When Jesus died on the cross, the curtain was torn. We all have access to the Lord of Lords! Nothing and no one can take that away from you! He is your best friend and by your side forever!

Matthew 27:50-53 (NLT)
 Then Jesus shouted out again, and he released his spirit. At that moment the curtain in the sanctuary of the Temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. The earth shook, rocks split apart, and tombs opened. The bodies of many godly men and women who had died were raised from the dead. They left the cemetery after Jesus’ resurrection, went into the holy city of Jerusalem, and appeared to many people.

Isaiah 50:4-5 (MSG)
The Master, God, has given me
    a well-taught tongue,
So I know how to encourage tired people.
    He wakes me up in the morning,
Wakes me up, opens my ears
    to listen as one ready to take orders.
The Master, God, opened my ears,
    and I didn’t go back to sleep,
    didn’t pull the covers back over my head.

Jesus Calling Sept 25th

Go Light Your World - Chris Rice

Trust. It is so important to Trust God and to stay in constant contact with Him. That way every single step you take can be furthering you in your faith walk with Him. It doesn't matter if they are tiny steps or huge steps, God will lead you. You should not judge someone else if one of their steps seems easy to you, but difficult to them. That is between them and God. Taking huge steps takes serious focus and holding on to God because huge steps go through unknown places. It isn't about trying to show off to others, it is about God and staying with Him. And do not scrutinize your neighbor who can only take tiny steps. If everyone would just put God first then everything would fall more into place and we would not be afraid of other people judging us. Focus on God, He never leaves you. He is your guide.

Proverbs 29:25 (MSG)
The fear of human opinion disables;
    trusting in God protects you from that.

Psalm 23:4 (NLT)
Even when I walk
    through the darkest valley,
I will not be afraid,
    for you are close beside me.
Your rod and your staff
    protect and comfort me.

Matthew 7:1-2 (NLT)
Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. For you will be treated as you treat others. The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged.

Jesus Calling Sept 23rd

Walk with God. He will take care of your problems for you. If you are bearing a burden, He doesn't want you to fall. If you ask Him, He will take that away from you and take it to the cross so that you can stand up and be free. Stand up tall and be proud of your Lord and let His light shine to others so that no one may burden you with anything else.  Feel His light and Love fill you up and shine upon you. He loves you unconditionally, that means forever and ever and ever and ever, it will never stop! Spend more time with Him like that and you will become more and more free.

1 John 4:17-18 (MSG)
God is love. When we take up permanent residence in a life of love, we live in God and God lives in us. This way, love has the run of the house, becomes at home and mature in us, so that we’re free of worry on Judgment Day—our standing in the world is identical with Christ’s. There is no room in love for fear. Well-formed love banishes fear. Since fear is crippling, a fearful life—fear of death, fear of judgment—is one not yet fully formed in love.

1 John 1:6-10 (MSG)
If we claim that we experience a shared life with him and continue to stumble around in the dark, we’re obviously lying through our teeth—we’re not living what we claim. But if we walk in the light, God himself being the light, we also experience a shared life with one another, as the sacrificed blood of Jesus, God’s Son, purges all our sin. If we claim that we’re free of sin, we’re only fooling ourselves. A claim like that is errant nonsense. On the other hand, if we admit our sins—make a clean breast of them—he won’t let us down; he’ll be true to himself. He’ll forgive our sins and purge us of all wrongdoing. If we claim that we’ve never sinned, we out-and-out contradict God—make a liar out of him. A claim like that only shows off our ignorance of God.

Jesus Calling Sept 22

We have to trust. We can't worry. Worrying only slows us down. He is our everlasting strength. Don't worry about things that are going to happen in the future. God is holding you with His mighty arms. He will give you the strength as you need it for what is ahead. Continue to focus now and God. God gave us the ability to anticipate the future. We cannot use that to worry about what is about to happen. Walk in the light. Focus on now. God has you if you just trust Him.

Exodus 15:2 (NLT)
The Lord is my strength and my song;
    he has given me victory.
This is my God, and I will praise him—
    my father’s God, and I will exalt him!

Hebrews 10:23 (NLT)
Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.

Jesus Calling Sept 21st

Heaven Fall Down - Phil Wickham

Sit and wait on God's holy Presence to enter you. Let Him fill you up with thoughts and peace. Don't be in a hurry, that does nothing for you. He created everything we know, and He chose to live in and through us. You have to get to know Him and let others see Him shining. You must ask for your mind to be still, you always have so many thoughts rushing around in there that you cannot hear what He wants to say to you and the blessings He has. Pray to Him for what you desire, and if He desires it also, you will receive it on His time.

Psalm 5:3 (NLT)
Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord.
    Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly.
Ephesians 2:8 (NLT)
God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.

Jesus Calling Sept 20th

Proverbs 20:24 (NLT)
The Lord directs our steps,
so why try to understand everything along the way?

When things don't go your way, it isn't the end of the world. See thing through God's eyes, was there something you can learn from that one thing going wrong? Even if you don't see anything good out of it, just blow it off, say "Oh well, I'm alright, not a big deal." Smile and move on with your day. You can't let the little things get to you, or you will never make it anywhere. Getting in the habit of letting go of the little things will take a weight off your shoulders because you won't be worrying about that anymore. You will see that majority of what you worry over isn't important. Save that energy for when you really need it or you really have a problem. Focus on Him, He is your guide. You will find you have more joy by not worrying so much about things. Just think about the eternal glory that is ahead, your problems are a speck compared to the beauty of Heaven that awaits us.

2 Corinthians 4:17-18 (NLT)
For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.

Everything Falls - Fee

Jesus Calling Sept 19th

1 John 2:15-17 (MSG)
Don’t love the world’s ways. Don’t love the world’s goods. Love of the world squeezes out love for the Father. Practically everything that goes on in the world—wanting your own way, wanting everything for yourself, wanting to appear important—has nothing to do with the Father. It just isolates you from him. The world and all its wanting, wanting, wanting is on the way out—but whoever does what God wants is set for eternity.

The world is pulling your mind one direction, and Heaven is pulling on it the opposite direction. The world really has nothing to offer to you, let go of the world. God is giving you a taste of Heaven, thats the best place to be. So just focus on God and His living Presence. The world is pulling you down, and throwing negative things in your face. Pray. Pray to God to know what is right vs. wrong and pray for Him to protect you. Constantly communicate with Him while you walk through the world and you'll be alright. Don't worry. Look ahead to what God will bring you in the future.

Romans 8:5-8 (MSG)
Those who think they can do it on their own end up obsessed with measuring their own moral muscle but never get around to exercising it in real life. Those who trust God’s action in them find that God’s Spirit is in them—living and breathing God! Obsession with self in these matters is a dead end; attention to God leads us out into the open, into a spacious, free life. Focusing on the self is the opposite of focusing on God. Anyone completely absorbed in self ignores God, ends up thinking more about self than God. That person ignores who God is and what he is doing. And God isn’t pleased at being ignored.

Jesus Calling Sept 18th

Do Everything - Steven Curtis Chapman

Make it a goal in your day to please the Lord in everything you do. Catch yourself when you are not. This will keep your mind in the right place. Keep Him at your focus for the day. It will protect you from all the tugs from the world.
There are many choices throughout every day, go to Him for the answer. If you aren't focusing on Him, then you can easily stray off. That is why it is important to stay focused and communicate with God constantly. The world is "unraveling" and you can keep from "unraveling" if you have a blossoming relationship with God.

Matthew 6:30-34 (MSG)
“If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of which are never even seen—don’t you think he’ll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you? What I’m trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God’s giving. People who don’t know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.
“Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.

Jesus Calling Sept 17th

God is in charge. You can make plans all day long if you want to, but that doesn't mean they are going to happen. That is not how he created us to work. He created us to communicate with Him so that He could tell us what to do. You just have to be prepared to talk with Him when something doesn't go your way. Just go to Him for all of your needs, He can take care of you. He promises that, if you just trust Him.

1 Peter 5:6-7 (MSG)
So be content with who you are, and don’t put on airs. God’s strong hand is on you; he’ll promote you at the right time. Live carefree before God; he is most careful with you.
Proverbs 16:9 (MSG)
We plan the way we want to live,
    but only God makes us able to live it
Psalm 37:5-6 (MSG)
Open up before God, keep nothing back;
    he’ll do whatever needs to be done:
He’ll validate your life in the clear light of day
    and stamp you with approval at high noon.

Observations

Hebrews 11:6 (NLT) And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.
I have been observing people here in college. And here is what I have to say. It really can apply to anyone. And I really already knew all this before I came to college, its just more prominent here.
If you wanna live your life for God, live your whole life for Him. You have got to stop living two lives. If you're weekend/night life is not living for God, then you are not living for God. You don't just live for God on Sundays, well the Sundays you do decide, or even can get up, to go to church. Thats not how it works. You don't party and get wasted on Friday and Saturday and go to church on Sunday. That's wrong. Especially if you're underage. If you enjoy the taste of some alcoholic drink, then yeah enjoy it, don't enjoy 3 or 4 or 5 or 6…. don't drink just to get drunk. Thats not okay. I'm tired of hearing people talk about how they are trying to find a campus ministry or church, or attending one when they talk about their crazy parties. If you have problems with alcohol and substances like that, then you need to find a group to help you with that problem specifically.
Its just the fact that people think they can live two different lives that bother me. Like I said, it doesn't work that way. If you live for God, you live for Him 24/7. You live for Him in your class. You live for Him in you clubs. You live for Him in every little thing you do. If you live for Him then you will make the effort to stay connected with Him 24/7. You won't just do it 24/5.
That is all I have to say here.

Jesus Calling Sept 16th

Lose My Soul - TobyMac

Mark 8:34-37 (MSG)
Calling the crowd to join his disciples, he said, “Anyone who intends to come with me has to let me lead. You’re not in the driver’s seat; I am. Don’t run from suffering; embrace it. Follow me and I’ll show you how. Self-help is no help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, my way, to saving yourself, your true self. What good would it do to get everything you want and lose you, the real you? What could you ever trade your soul for?

We are one with God. He makes us whole. He makes us the real us. He completes us. He makes us who we really are. Without Him, you have a hole inside you, there is an empty place. You might get what you want, but you will lose what matters most. Let God fulfill you. Walk closely with Him. He will lead you where you need to go. It might feel uncomfortable or scary, but just trust Him. If you just follow and trust with all your heart, then you will go places you've never gone before. He knows us better than we know ourselves. When we stay with Him, in our completeness, we become more of what He made us to be.

Psalm 139:13-16 (MSG)
Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out;
    you formed me in my mother’s womb.
I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking!
    Body and soul, I am marvelously made!
    I worship in adoration—what a creation!
You know me inside and out,
    you know every bone in my body;
You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit,
    how I was sculpted from nothing into something.
Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth;
    all the stages of my life were spread out before you,
The days of my life all prepared
    before I’d even lived one day.

2 Corinthians 3:16-18 (MSG)
Whenever, though, they turn to face God as Moses did, God removes the veil and there they are—face-to-face! They suddenly recognize that God is a living, personal presence, not a piece of chiseled stone. And when God is personally present, a living Spirit, that old, constricting legislation is recognized as obsolete. We’re free of it! All of us! Nothing between us and God, our faces shining with the brightness of his face. And so we are transfigured much like the Messiah, our lives gradually becoming brighter and more beautiful as God enters our lives and we become like him.

Jesus Calling Sept 15th

John 15:11-15 (MSG)
 “I’ve told you these things for a purpose: that my joy might be your joy, and your joy wholly mature. This is my command: Love one another the way I loved you. This is the very best way to love. Put your life on the line for your friends. You are my friends when you do the things I command you. I’m no longer calling you servants because servants don’t understand what their master is thinking and planning. No, I’ve named you friends because I’ve let you in on everything I’ve heard from the Father.

God loves us more than we can even imagine. Its unconditional, meaning it won't stop for anything, it will never go away no matter what. You don't have to do anything to receive His love, it is just a free gift. He created you, therefore He loves you unconditionally. He wants you to gain peace and joy from His Presence. He wants you to relax and soak Him up. He will never condemn you, only love you.

Numbers 6:24-26 (MSG)
God bless you and keep you,
God smile on you and gift you,
God look you full in the face
    and make you prosper.

Lead Me - Sanctus Real

Jesus Calling Sept 13th

We are too quick to judge, we need to focus more on God than worrying about judging those around you.
I really feel like these two verses sum it up better today than I could. I really like them!

Matthew 7:1-5 (MSG)
“Don’t pick on people, jump on their failures, criticize their faults— unless, of course, you want the same treatment. That critical spirit has a way of boomeranging. It’s easy to see a smudge on your neighbor’s face and be oblivious to the ugly sneer on your own. Do you have the nerve to say, ‘Let me wash your face for you,’ when your own face is distorted by contempt? It’s this whole traveling road-show mentality all over again, playing a holier-than-thou part instead of just living your part. Wipe that ugly sneer off your own face, and you might be fit to offer a washcloth to your neighbor.

Romans 9:20-33 (MSG)
 Who in the world do you think you are to second-guess God? Do you for one moment suppose any of us knows enough to call God into question? Clay doesn’t talk back to the fingers that mold it, saying, “Why did you shape me like this?” Isn’t it obvious that a potter has a perfect right to shape one lump of clay into a vase for holding flowers and another into a pot for cooking beans? If God needs one style of pottery especially designed to show his angry displeasure and another style carefully crafted to show his glorious goodness, isn’t that all right? Either or both happens to Jews, but it also happens to the other people. Hosea put it well:
I’ll call nobodies and make them somebodies;
    I’ll call the unloved and make them beloved.
In the place where they yelled out, “You’re nobody!”
    they’re calling you “God’s living children.”
Isaiah maintained this same emphasis:
If each grain of sand on the seashore were numbered
    and the sum labeled “chosen of God,”
They’d be numbers still, not names;
    salvation comes by personal selection.
God doesn’t count us; he calls us by name.
    Arithmetic is not his focus.
Isaiah had looked ahead and spoken the truth:
If our powerful God
    had not provided us a legacy of living children,
We would have ended up like ghost towns,
    like Sodom and Gomorrah.
How can we sum this up? All those people who didn’t seem interested in what God was doing actually embraced what God was doing as he straightened out their lives. And Israel, who seemed so interested in reading and talking about what God was doing, missed it. How could they miss it? Because instead of trusting God, they took over. They were absorbed in what they themselves were doing. They were so absorbed in their “God projects” that they didn’t notice God right in front of them, like a huge rock in the middle of the road. And so they stumbled into him and went sprawling. Isaiah (again!) gives us the metaphor for pulling this together:
Careful! I’ve put a huge stone on the road to Mount Zion,
    a stone you can’t get around.
But the stone is me! If you’re looking for me,
    you’ll find me on the way, not in the way.

My Own Little World - Matthew West

Jesus Calling Sept 12th

Sitting in silence in the Presence of God is a powerful thing. You gain His Peace. The world does not know His Peace, therefore it is your job to share it with them. Trust God on 100% of everything in your life. When you trust, problems disappear into His arms; they are no longer on your plate.
Sometimes it's hard to sit and be quiet, He understands. We have to do our best. Make it a habit by just starting with a little bit at the time. Tiny steps will get you there faster than big steps and failure. Yes, we are busy people. He knows that. But He wants us to slow down from all that the world is pulling us into.
He will help you stand against all evil. He is the strongest most powerful being to rule the universe. So just trust Him.

2 Corinthians 10:3-6 (MSG)
 The world is unprincipled. It’s dog-eat-dog out there! The world doesn’t fight fair. But we don’t live or fight our battles that way—never have and never will. The tools of our trade aren’t for marketing or manipulation, but they are for demolishing that entire massively corrupt culture. We use our powerful God-tools for smashing warped philosophies, tearing down barriers erected against the truth of God, fitting every loose thought and emotion and impulse into the structure of life shaped by Christ. Our tools are ready at hand for clearing the ground of every obstruction and building lives of obedience into maturity.

John 14:25-27 (MSG)
“I’m telling you these things while I’m still living with you. The Friend, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send at my request, will make everything plain to you. He will remind you of all the things I have told you. I’m leaving you well and whole. That’s my parting gift to you. Peace. I don’t leave you the way you’re used to being left—feeling abandoned, bereft. So don’t be upset. Don’t be distraught.

Lift Me Up - The Afters
Only A Mountain - Jason Castro

Jesus Calling Sept 11th

First I would like to take a moment to ask you to pause and pray for those who lost loved ones 11 years ago today.

God is holding you in His mighty arms. Praise Him! It doesn't matter what is happening, even on a day like today, a tragic anniversary, praise Him! He did not make or let that happen. It was obviously meant to teach someone something or it wouldn't have happened. The world is such a harsh place. The only way to live happy is to worship Him and the Love-Relationship you have with Him. Dreaming for a happy future will get you no where. Fantasizing will get you no where, it isn't real. God is the realest thing you will ever know! He never changes! Go to Him for everything and He will bring Joy to you!

Philippians 4:10-23
Content Whatever the Circumstances
I’m glad in God, far happier than you would ever guess—happy that you’re again showing such strong concern for me. Not that you ever quit praying and thinking about me. You just had no chance to show it. Actually, I don’t have a sense of needing anything personally. I’ve learned by now to be quite content whatever my circumstances. I’m just as happy with little as with much, with much as with little. I’ve found the recipe for being happy whether full or hungry, hands full or hands empty. Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am. I don’t mean that your help didn’t mean a lot to me—it did. It was a beautiful thing that you came alongside me in my troubles.
You Philippians well know, and you can be sure I’ll never forget it, that when I first left Macedonia province, venturing out with the Message, not one church helped out in the give-and-take of this work except you. You were the only one. Even while I was in Thessalonica, you helped out—and not only once, but twice. Not that I’m looking for handouts, but I do want you to experience the blessing that issues from generosity.
And now I have it all—and keep getting more! The gifts you sent with Epaphroditus were more than enough, like a sweet-smelling sacrifice roasting on the altar, filling the air with fragrance, pleasing God no end. You can be sure that God will take care of everything you need, his generosity exceeding even yours in the glory that pours from Jesus. Our God and Father abounds in glory that just pours out into eternity. Yes.
Give our regards to every follower of Jesus you meet. Our friends here say hello. All the Christians here, especially the believers who work in the palace of Caesar, want to be remembered to you.
Receive and experience the amazing grace of the Master, Jesus Christ, deep, deep within yourselves.

Jesus Calling Sept 10th

You Never Let Go - Matt Redman

Isaiah 46:4 (NLT)
I will be your God throughout your lifetime—

    until your hair is white with age.
I made you, and I will care for you.
    I will carry you along and save you.

God is always with us. Always carrying us. He will never let go of us. The moment we give our life to Him, He never leaves your side. If He feels far, that is just a feeling inside of you, call out His name. He has made His Promises to us to always be with us. Let that fill you up with His Joy and Peace.
"No matter what you may lose in this life, you can never lose your relationship with Me." (Sarah Young 265)

Matthew 28:18-20 (MSG)
Jesus, undeterred, went right ahead and gave his charge: “God authorized and commanded me to commission you: Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Then instruct them in the practice of all I have commanded you. I’ll be with you as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age.”

You Are More - Tenth Avenue North

Jesus Calling Sept 9

Trust. Its so important in getting through your life. Trust Jesus. He is the man. He is the one that's gonna get you through everything. Trust Him to get from one endpoint to the other. Yeah, you'll probably get off track somewhere along the way, but you will still get there. When you get lost like that, off the path, yes you lost some time and energy as well, but just call out to Jesus. Say, "I trust you, Jesus!" Aloud. That will help you get back to going the right way. When you get way way off track and caught up in the ways of the world, you forget that God is near, He is with you all the time. That is why it is important to often remind yourself and Him aloud that you trust Him.

Isaiah 26:1-6 (MSG)
At that time, this song
    will be sung in the country of Judah:
We have a strong city, Salvation City,
    built and fortified with salvation.
Throw wide the gates
    so good and true people can enter.
People with their minds set on you,
    you keep completely whole,
Steady on their feet,
    because they keep at it and don’t quit.
Depend on God and keep at it
    because in the Lord God you have a sure thing.
Those who lived high and mighty
    he knocked off their high horse.
He used the city built on the hill
    as fill for the marshes.
All the exploited and outcast peoples
    build their lives on the reclaimed land.

Psalm 9:9-10 (MSG)
God’s a safe-house for the battered,
    a sanctuary during bad times.
The moment you arrive, you relax;
    you’re never sorry you knocked.

Psalm 25:4-5 (MSG)
Show me how you work, God;
School me in your ways.
Take me by the hand;
Lead me down the path of truth.
You are my Savior, aren’t you?

Proverbs 3:5-12 (MSG)
Trust God from the bottom of your heart;
    don’t try to figure out everything on your own.
Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go;
    he’s the one who will keep you on track.
Don’t assume that you know it all.
    Run to God! Run from evil!
Your body will glow with health,
    your very bones will vibrate with life!
Honor God with everything you own;
    give him the first and the best.
Your barns will burst,
    your wine vats will brim over.
But don’t, dear friend, resent God’s discipline;
    don’t sulk under his loving correction.
It’s the child he loves that God corrects;
    a father’s delight is behind all this.

Jesus Calling Sept 8th

Live Like That - Sidewalk Prophets

Be thankful for each new day that you receive from God, it is a blessing. He calls us to trust Him fully, resting in His Presence. Some days are really gonna seem not so great, but you have to continue trust Him. Sometimes you will be asked to do a task that requires far more strength than you have alone, that is why you are to lean on God to strengthen you. Do not try to do it on your own, and never give up. He will still love you if you make the wrong choice, but remember you can go to Him any time and He will pull you out of the dumps and He will give you new strength every moment. Just trust Him, thats all it takes.

Psalm 42:5 (MSG)
Why are you down in the dumps, dear soul?
    Why are you crying the blues?
Fix my eyes on God—
    soon I’ll be praising again.
He puts a smile on my face.
    He’s my God.
Psalm 143:7-10 (MSG)
Hurry with your answer, God!
    I’m nearly at the end of my rope.
Don’t turn away; don’t ignore me!
    That would be certain death.
If you wake me each morning with the sound of your loving voice,
    I’ll go to sleep each night trusting in you.
Point out the road I must travel;
    I’m all ears, all eyes before you.
Save me from my enemies, God
    you’re my only hope!
Teach me how to live to please you,
    because you’re my God.
Lead me by your blessed Spirit
    into cleared and level pastureland.

Jesus Calling Sept 7

His Presence is surrounding you. Filling you up with His Light and warmth. He loves to see us wrapped up in His Light, showing it off to the world. No one who wears His Light is disapproved. He dislikes the way we as humans use guilt to motivate each other. It does not get you any where, it weakens the grace in your heart. God does not like to see the grace in us disintegrate. He wants us to know how much He Loves us and to be calm and relaxed at that thought. He has made us free from sin and death! Be Happy!

Isaiah 61:10-11 (MSG)
I will sing for joy in God,
    explode in praise from deep in my soul!
He dressed me up in a suit of salvation,
    he outfitted me in a robe of righteousness,
As a bridegroom who puts on a tuxedo
    and a bride a jeweled tiara.
For as the earth bursts with spring wildflowers,
    and as a garden cascades with blossoms,
So the Master, God, brings righteousness into full bloom
    and puts praise on display before the nations.

Jesus in Disguise - Brandon Heath

Jesus Calling Sept 6th

God wants us to depend on Him for everything. Truth is, we cannot do a thing with out Him. It is part of human nature to want to do things on our own and be independent. Then that pride sneaks into your mind, pulling you from God. God desires us to depend on Him for every little thing in every situation. We have to keep focusing and working with God to get that done. God could take the easy way in teaching us and take away our freedom, but He loves us too much to do that. Use your freedom for the good and depending on and focusing on Him, instead of using it for harmful activities.
Enjoy His Presence and soak it up.

Ephesians 6:10-12 (MSG)
And that about wraps it up. God is strong, and he wants you strong. So take everything the Master has set out for you, well-made weapons of the best materials. And put them to use so you will be able to stand up to everything the Devil throws your way. This is no afternoon athletic contest that we'll walk away from and forget about in a couple of hours. This is for keeps, a life-or-death fight to the finish against the Devil and all his angels.

Jesus Calling Sept 5th

No One Like You - David Crowder Band

God is our best friend, better than any friend you will ever make on earth. He should come first in your life. He loves you more, He is more powerful, and He will never forsake you or turn around and stab you in the back. Friends on earth can turn on you in the blink of an eye, God will never do that. And He will always be right by your side. He will lead you through each day. You can talk to Him about all that is happening in your day, good things, bad things, any thing. He can turn bad things into good things. He can bring Joy out of sadness and Peace out of tension. He is the Most High! No other friend can do that! There is no one like Him!
This friendship with Him is one that you can understand because it is straightforward and simple, but it also is full of His heavenly Glory. We live in two worlds when we are friends with Him, the earthly world, and the heavenly eternal glorious world. He has made us so that we can stay focused on Him through it all.

John 15 (MSG)

The Vine and the Branches
 1-3 "I am the Real Vine and my Father is the Farmer. He cuts off every branch of me that doesn't bear grapes. And every branch that is grape-bearing he prunes back so it will bear even more. You are already pruned back by the message I have spoken.
 4"Live in me. Make your home in me just as I do in you. In the same way that a branch can't bear grapes by itself but only by being joined to the vine, you can't bear fruit unless you are joined with me.
 5-8"I am the Vine, you are the branches. When you're joined with me and I with you, the relation intimate and organic, the harvest is sure to be abundant. Separated, you can't produce a thing. Anyone who separates from me is deadwood, gathered up and thrown on the bonfire. But if you make yourselves at home with me and my words are at home in you, you can be sure that whatever you ask will be listened to and acted upon. This is how my Father shows who he is—when you produce grapes, when you mature as my disciples.
 9-10"I've loved you the way my Father has loved me. Make yourselves at home in my love. If you keep my commands, you'll remain intimately at home in my love. That's what I've done—kept my Father's commands and made myself at home in his love.
 11-15"I've told you these things for a purpose: that my joy might be your joy, and your joy wholly mature. This is my command: Love one another the way I loved you. This is the very best way to love. Put your life on the line for your friends. You are my friends when you do the things I command you. I'm no longer calling you servants because servants don't understand what their master is thinking and planning. No, I've named you friends because I've let you in on everything I've heard from the Father.
 16"You didn't choose me, remember; I chose you, and put you in the world to bear fruit, fruit that won't spoil. As fruit bearers, whatever you ask the Father in relation to me, he gives you.
 17"But remember the root command: Love one another.

Jesus Calling Sept 4th

Go Light Your World - Chris Rice

Staying close to God is the way to go. If you stay focused on Him, constantly reminding yourself that He is nearby, you will do well in life. He enjoys walking close with you. And when we do so, we are surrounded and filled up with His Presence. There is a hole inside of us that only God can fill. He made us to stay in close communication with Him. He is blessed, and so are you when you communicate with Him. He lives through you, that's how He gets to the world, shining into the darkness. He is the light through you to others, let that light shine!

Psalm 32:7 (MSG)
God's my island hideaway,
keeps danger far from the shore,
throws garlands of hosannas around my neck.

Be Still and Know - Steven Curtis Chapman

Psalm 46:8-10 (MSG)
Attention, all! See the marvels of God
      He plants flowers and trees all over the earth,
   Bans war from pole to pole,
      breaks all the weapons across his knee.
   "Step out of the traffic! Take a long,
      loving look at me, your High God,
      above politics, above everything."

Psalm 46:8-10 (NLT)
Come, see the glorious works of the Lord:
See how he brings destruction upon the world.
He causes wars to end throughout the earth.
He breaks the bow and snaps the spear.
he burns the shields with fire.
“Be still, and know that I am God!
I will be honored by every nation.
I will be honored throughout the world.”

Jesus Calling Sept 2nd

Every Move I Make - David Crowder Band

The best way to live is to depend on God throughout every moment of every day. Being busy trying to get things done is not the way to go, those people miss out on great things in life. When you constantly depend on God your view on things change. You will see miracles, not coincidences. You anticipate what He will do in each new day. You learn to accept and be thankful for your weakness. You learn that His plans are much greater than any of yours. You live in Him, and Him in you. It is the best decision you will make, to live for and with Him.

John 14:18-20 (MSG)
I will not leave you orphaned. I'm coming back. In just a little while the world will no longer see me, but you're going to see me because I am alive and you're about to come alive. At that moment you will know absolutely that I'm in my Father, and you're in me, and I'm in you.

Colossians 2:6-7 (MSG)
My counsel for you is simple and straightforward: Just go ahead with what you've been given. You received Christ Jesus, the Master; now live him. You're deeply rooted in him. You're well constructed upon him. You know your way around the faith. Now do what you've been taught. School's out; quit studying the subject and start living it! And let your living spill over into thanksgiving.
